Research and development

The Company possesses its own research and development department dealing with the development and testing of new materials, thanks to which the products characterise with the highest quality. Moreover, the department performs and supervises tests of new products in order to market them and obtain necessary certificates.

Technicians working in the development department implement advanced solutions based on the use of modern technology park.

RADPOL intends to continue the realisation and develop the adopted research and development strategy.

Tests are performed as regards the possibility of implementing new products into the production, and also enhance durability and quality of materials.

Patents held by RADPOL:

PAT.179257

„Means of Medium Voltage Cable Termination With Insulation of Plastic” – granted by the Patent Office bearing order number PAT.179257 on the basis of the decision of 5 July 1999.

PAT.197357

„Means of Producing Heat-Shrinkable Articles”- granted by the Patent Office bearing order number PAT.197357 on the basis of the decision of 27 September 2007.

PAT.205918

A Patent for an invention called “Heat-Shrinkable Coupler and Means of Producing the Heat-Shrinkable Coupler” granted by the Patent Office bearing order number 205918 on the basis of the decision of 15 February 2010.

PAT.236782

“A Polymer Blend and an Article Containing a Polymer Blend” – registered in the Patent Office on 9 October 2015, bearing order number P.414329.

The subject matter of the invention protected with the patent No. PL 205918 for the account of RADPOL was defined in the patent restrictions and consists in the fact that radiation cross-linked joint box contains at least one opening for administering a foaming agent for the purposes of heat insulation, although there are usually two openings because of a higher efficiency of deaeration of the system, which is an element known from the state of the art, however the heat-shrinkable joint box according to RADPOL’s patent characterises with the fact that the surface of the pipe fitting around the opening for foaming agent is not cross-linked.

The solution according to the invention after the operation of crosslinking of a pipe fitting enabled to maintain surfaces around openings for administering a foaming agent which are not cross-linked. It allowed for, by the use of non-crosslinked polyethylene plugs, after the operation of filling the joint box with a foaming material, a possibility of plugging the openings and fusing the connection of the plug with the opening, which ensures a tight connection preventing humidity from permeating the box, and thus from permeating the main steel heating line and maintaining the features of the cross-linked material for the whole joint box.
